Red meats, soda, refined grains may increase chance of depression

What you're eating could be making you depressed.

A study of 40,000 women found those who sipped soda, ate fatty red meats and consumed refined grains on a daily basis were 41 percent more likely to suffer from depression?

Foods in the Mediterranean diet, like olive oil, wine and vegetables had the reverse effect and helped to fight off depression.

Researchers believe the inflammation caused by certain foods may play a role.
