17-year-old killed in 2-car crash in Upper Marlboro

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -

Prince George's County Police say a teenager was killed and four people were injured in a two-car crash in Upper Marlboro.

Police say the crash occurred about 7:10 p.m. Monday on Ritchie Marlboro Road. Officers say a car that was traveling south crossed into the northbound lanes and hit another vehicle.

Authorities say 17-year-old Alex Edward Cole Upper Marlboro, a passenger in the car that crossed into the opposite lane, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the driver of that car and two additional passengers, and the driver of the other car suffered injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

The accident is under investigation.
