Tamera Mowry-Housley: Mommies Make It Work

Posted: Updated:

Tamera Mowry-Housley's first child, Aden, isn't even a year old yet -- his birthday is November 12 -- and already she's talking about having not just one more child, but two.  At the same time.  As in twins.

Tamera is, of course, a twin herself.  She and her sister Tia co-starred on "Sister Sister" and have both kept working ever since, evan as both of them have begun families of their own.

"If I was blessed with twins, of course, I would be very grateful and very happy," Taomera told OK! magazine. "However, having twins is a lot of work, so I physically-or mentally-can't imagine taking care of two at the same time."   However, she explained why growing up as a twin was not the easiest thing in the world.

"It's a lot of work," she explained, making sure to tell people that they shouldn't see twins as one person. "It's important to realize that they may look alike, and they may have come out at the same time, but they're individuals. Treat them that way."

Tamera joins Maria Quiban and Maria Sansone, who's about to have a child of her own, on Good Day L.A., to talk about the event she Tia are taking part in this weekend, Club MomMe's "Family Fall Fest."

Little Remedies "Say Yes to Less"

Tamera Mowry-Housley

  • These days it seems like our lives are getting more and more complicated. But if you're like me, you believe that sometimes less is more, and simpler is better, particularly when it comes to our kids. I'm creating my own approach to parenthood, focusing on what's healthy for my son, and what works for my family.
  • Little Remedies is there to help moms like me who want to give our kids everything they need to stay healthy, using the fewest artificial and unnecessary ingredients. We want to say "Yes to less" and no to the extra things our kids don't need.
  • Little Remedies hopes you will pledge to "Say Yes to Less." Just log on to SayYes2Less.com and pledge to "Say Yes to Less" of the things your kids don't need to live happy and healthy lives. In return, Little Remedies will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for each of the first 100,000 people who take the pledge, as well as award a grand prize winner with a $5,000 college education account.
  • Taking a more wholesome approach to raising my son is something I feel passionate about, so I'm excited to ask other parents to join me, and to see how families across the country will "Say Yes to Less." We'll be helping our own kids live better lives, and supporting a great cause at the same time.
  • Little Remedies offers a full line of medicine products for infants and children that are made with the fewest and most natural ingredients, without sacrificing the product's effectiveness -- so that means no artificial flavors, artificial colors, alcohol, saccharin or dyes.
