ST. LOUIS (MyFoxBoston.com) – Dustin Pedroia told reporters he hasn't ever seen anything like the call that ended Game Three of the World Series.
"I threw Yadi out at the plate. Salty came up and threw to third and then the ball got him to the left. I thought we threw him out," said Pedroia. "It's a tough way to end it."
Pedroia said he knew what had happened when the game ended.
"The guy at home called home called him safe. He was out by three feet, so…I don't know who made the call," said Pedroia.
"Have you ever seen anything like that?" a reporter asked.
"No. I haven't," said Pedroia.
Pedroia said the call won't define how the Sox finish out the series.
"I'm proud of the guys. The guys played hard, man," said Pedroia. "It's disappointing how it ended, but we'll be fine."
