Tony Perkins says goodbye to mornings

Posted: Updated:

Tony Perkins said goodbye to the FOX 5 Morning News team Friday in a special broadcast that featured many memorable moments.

All morning long, the team looked back at favorite interviews, sketches and laughs.

Earlier this week, Perkins announced that he will be moving from the morning show to become co-anchor of FOX 5 News at 5pm and 10pm.

Tony had served as the morning show’s weather personality and as the co-anchor for the program's 9 o'clock hour.

He rejoined the FOX 5 family in 2006, having first been a part of the team from 1993 to 1999.

Perkins will start his new position on Monday, October 28 at 5pm.
