STERLING, Va. -

Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect believed to be linked to two sexual assaults near the Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun Campus.

A female student reported a male suspect tried to kiss her cheek, and then hugged her and kissed her Monday evening between 7:20 p.m. and 8 p.m. as she was walking from campus to a bus stop in the 21100 block of Potomac View Road.

Police say another woman was approached and touched inappropriately while she was walking on a path behind the Reynolds building around 7 p.m. Monday night.

Police also say a witness observed a possible suspect in the area around the same time and day of the assaults.

The suspect in the assault at the bus stop is described as a white, possibly Hispanic male in his 20s. In the other incident, he is described as a white, possibly Middle Eastern male.

Both victims describe the suspect as being approximately 5’6” to 5’7” tall with an athletic build and short black hair. He also speaks with a thick accent of unknown descent and was last seen wearing a dark colored T-shirt and striped shorts.

If you have any information regarding the possible identity of the suspect, you are asked to call Detective S. Tresselt of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475, or Sgt. K. Haynes, NOVA Police Department at 703-764-5000.
