Underwear uses odor absorber to filter flatulence

Posted: Updated:

A new type of underwear promises the user the freedom to be able pass-gas whenever and wherever by filtering out unpleasant odors.

Shreddies, a healthcare undergarment produced in the UK, claims to be able to filter flatulence.

According to their website, the product uses a Zorflex activated carbon back panel that absorbs all flatulence odors. They say that due to its highly porous nature, the odor vapors become trapped and neutralized by the cloth, which is then reactivated by simply washing the garment.

FOX News Magazine says that Zorflex is a substance also used in chemical warfare gear.

According to FOX News Magazine, in addition to being a novelty item, Shreddies recommends their products to people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, Crohn’s disease, Dyspepsia and Colitis.
