DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

Several drivers were left stranded Tuesday morning after getting gas from a south DeKalb County gas station.  They told FOX 5 there was water in the fuel, which caused their cars to stall out.

FOX 5's Paul Yates reports eight cars were disabled after the drivers got gas at the Citgo station on Glenwood Road and Columbia Drive.

Eight cars had to be towed away for repairs.

A representative of Keystone Petroleum Transports, the company that hauled the gas to the station, said customers' towing and repair costs would be covered while an investigation takes place to determine how the fuel was contaminated.

The cost of repairs typically cost $200 to $300, the representative said.

The Georgia Department of Agriculture sent an inspector to the gas station to make sure the gas tanks were free of contamination before it reopened.
