DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Detroit police interviewed a woman Thursday morning in connection to the hit-and-run accident involving a full school bus the day before.

A Detroit Public School official confirmed ten children were sent to the hospital after the crash. The bus was hit by another vehicle after, police say, the driver did not stop at a stop sign. The driver then drove away from the scene.

The accident happened on Heyden Street near Cathedral Street. Students on the bus attend Dixon Elementary-Middle School.

Thirty students in total were on the bus. The ten who were treated by doctors sustained minor injuries after slamming into the back of the seats in front of them. The other 20 students were released to their parents at the scene.

Not long after the accident, police located the vehicle they believed to be involved: a gray Dodge Charger. The driver abandoned the vehicle and police recovered it from a house that is not involved in the investigation of the hit and run.

This hit and run is now among several hit-and-run accidents being investigated in Detroit just this month.
