FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -

Police say two robbery suspects will be charged with the murder after a third suspect died in a shootout with restaurant employees in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Fayetteville police say Leadron Johnson and Alonzo Starks were robbing employees of the China Café when a deliver driver pulled a weapon and shot Starks five times, including a round to the face.

The restaurant owner was shot and remains in critical condition. Police would later discover Starks' body in an abandoned home in Clayton County.

Police said that Johnson and the suspected getaway driver, Alvin Scott, will be charged with murder in Starks' death because they were in the act of committing a felony when the fatal shooting occurred.

"This is as dangerous as it gets, and the fact that they dumped their friend in a…cold-hearted way in an abandoned house just tells you the kind of people we are dealing with," said Lt. Mike Whitlow of the Fayetteville Police Department.

Johnson is still on the run; Scott was arrested on Monday.

Fayetteville police believe the three also recently held up the Golden Chopsticks restaurant not far from the China Cafe. Police say the robbers tried to lock the employees into a refrigerator. Other departments are investigating to see if the trio was involved in other robberies.

"Henry County, Clayton County, city of Hapeville, city of Morrow and there are a few other jurisdictions which are looking at some of their unsolved armed robberies," Whitlow said.

Police believe the men were spending the money on adult entertainment in the Atlanta area.
