DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

Authorities say a man was stabbed at a barber shop after an argument over a shave in DeKalb County on Wednesday.

The incident took place at C-Lo's Barber Shop, located at 1154 Wellborn Avenue in Lithonia, according to police.

Authorities said that the fight was over a beard trim. DeKalb County Police Captain Stephen Fore said that the customer was apparently unhappy with the service he received and got into an argument with the barber. The fight got physical and spilled over into the parking lot, where the barber allegedly cut the customer several times in the torso with a straight razor.

The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The barber, 36-year-old Carl Gilbert, turned himself into authorities on Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with aggravated assault.
