US Postal Service pulls 'Let's Move' stamps claiming some encourage unsafe behavior

Posted: Updated:

The U.S. Postal Service is pulling a new series of stamps because they show activities that may be unsafe for kids.

The stamps were due to be issued as part of the First Lady's ‘Let's Move' Campaign.

They are drawing fire because the White House thinks some of them encourage unsafe behavior.

Examples include a skateboarder without kneepads, a swimmer doing a cannonball and a child doing a head-stand without a helmet.

There were several reports saying the Postal Service will destroy the whole batch of stamps.

A Postal Service spokesman says the stamps are on hold. They have not been destroyed.
