Posted: Updated:
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

Police are searching for a man who robbed a DeKalb County bank on Tuesday.

Authorities say the man walked into the PNC Bank on Briarcliff Road carrying a semi-automatic rifle.  He then jumped over the teller counter and began throwing money into a black canvas bag before fleeing.

The robber is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a black shirt, tan pants, a brown hat and sunglasses.  Police say it appears he also had padding stuffed in his shirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the DeKalb County Police Department at (770) 724-7890.
