Our Ask Tony and Tucker question comes from Peter Ahearn in Bowie, Maryland. "If I remember correctly from the Chilean miners rescue in 2010, they had to endure temperatures between 80-to-90 degrees Fahrenheit during their entrapment below the surface. I thought the ground temperature was a stable 50-to-60 degree Fahrenheit below a relatively shallow depth. Why was it so hot in the mine?"
