Albany haunted house ready to scare thousands

Posted: Updated:

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - One of southwest Georgia's spookiest attractions expects to frighten thousands of visitors between now and Halloween.

WALB-TV reports Fright Night's Haunted House had its opening night Friday after moving to a new location for the first time in four years.

Organizer Tim Thompson calls the attractions maze of crazy clowns, ghosts, trap doors and demonic children "a haunted house person's Christmas." It takes more than 40 actors to bring the haunted house's scary scenes to life.

Even at $7 to $9 per ticket, Thompson says Fright Night's anticipates 7,000 or more visitors this Halloween season.

Proceeds from the haunted house will go to the Albany Museum of Arts for children's programs and to keep admission free for visitors.
