KENNESAW, Ga. -

Police in Cobb County have made an arrest in a road rage incident early Friday morning that led to a shooting and the eventual death of a Kennesaw State University student.

A spokesperson for the Cobb County Police Department tells FOX 5 News that Sparkles Lashayla Lindsey, 22, of Austell was booked into the Cobb County Jail for that murder. She is being held without bond.

Police say Kim Kilgore, 21, of Kennesaw was shot in the gated parking lot of the Shiloh Green Apartments. Investigators believe the shooting started as a road rage incident along Wade Green Road near Shiloh Road. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Investigators are still trying to determine how the pair ended up in the apartment complex and how the incident escaladed to a physical altercation.

Kilgore was communications student at Kennesaw State University. She also was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Saturday, friends and fellow students left flowers, notes and other items in front the Collett Country Store where she worked. They tell FOX 5 that she is a 2009 graduate of Paulding County High School.
