WARREN, Mich. (AP) - A 25-year-old Macomb County woman has been charged in the death of her two-week-old daughter.

Charliette Stalling of Warren was arraigned Friday in Warren District Court on charges of felony murder and first-degree child abuse. She was denied bond and sent back to the county jail.

She's expected to get a court-appointed attorney.

Authorities say firefighters responded on Oct. 3 to a 911 call that directed them to the home of Stalling's neighbor. They revived Jamiah Stalling and took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy performed several days later ruled the death a homicide by blunt-force trauma to the head.
