Police Surveillance: Rite Aid Robber

Police seek the public's help in identifying a suspect who attempted to rob a store at gunpoint in the Logan section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred on October 5, 2013, at 3:30 p.m., according to police, when an unknown male entered a Rite Aid store located at 1300 block of Windrim Avenue and pulled a handgun. Police say he pointed the gun at an employee and demanded money while the employee was handling a transaction with another customer.

When the employee was unable to open the cash register, the suspect became frustrated and fled the store in an unknown direction without obtaining any money, surveillance shows.

Suspect Description, according to police: Black male, mid to late 20 years-of-age, 5'6″-5'7″, medium build, dark brown complexion, beard and goatee, wearing a faded brown hooded sweatshirt, tan cargo shorts, black baseball cap with a "Phillies" logo on the front, dark colored ankle high boots and armed with a handgun.
