Bear Climbs Fence, Captured, Released Back To Forest

Posted: Updated:

A 275-pound bear was spotted in Irwindale just off Lower Asuza Road. The video you see here is of the bear in Baldwin Park at Anderson Avenue and Clark Street, where he was followed through Baldwin Park.  Around 6:15am, police dispatch confirmed they were looking for a bear near Puente Ave and Ramona Blvd. When the California Department of Fish and Wildlife arrived around 6:40am, they tranquilized the bear, and it was transported back to Angeles National Forest in the bed of a pickup.
