Heating costs expected to increase this winter

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON - Get ready to pay more for your heat this winter.

Experts say natural gas, electricity, and propane costs will go up all because of increased global demand.

The U.S. Department of Energy says natural gas is expected to go up 13 percent.

That means the average bill for gas heat could jump as much as $679.

But there is a silver lining for furnaces that burn oil - heating oil should drop two percent.
