CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Amazon is bringing jobs to the expanded Chicago area. City officials in Kenosha, Wis. just approved plans for the development of a $250 million distribution center.

The new center for Amazon will be built along I-94 and allow the company to speed shipments in the Great Lakes region.

The development will create 1,100 new jobs, expected to pay about $13 an hour.

Amazon hopes to have it up and running by the fall of next year.
