The results are in on a study about what is used to make chicken nuggets and lot people just may be mortified.
Researchers inspected two nuggets from two national fast-food chains in Jackson, Mississippi.
The first one consisted of about half breast or thigh meat. The rest was a mix of fat, blood vessels, nerves and the internal organs of the bird. The second nugget had forty percent of breast or thigh meat and the remainder was fat, cartilage and pieces of bone. A spokesperson with the National Chicken Council says the sample size of two nuggets is too small to generalize the entire category of food.
