Police seek suspects in Woodstock video game store robbery

Posted: Updated:
WOODSTOCK, Ga. -

Woodstock police are searching for several suspects who robbed a video game store at gunpoint and then torched the business.

Georgia Arson Control is now offering up to $10,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of suspects involved in the robbery and arson at Play-N-Trade.

It happened this past Sunday in the 2900 block of Eagle Drive in Woodstock. Police say a man walked into the store and pointed a gun at employees. He then forced them into the rear of the business. They were eventually released and told to run from the store, but then the building caught fire.

A manager suffered second and third-degree burns over 15 percent of his body.

Sgt. John Steelman says they need a witness to come forward. Authorities believe there were at least three people involved and that they may have fled in a blue Chevrolet SUV.

Police have descriptions for two suspects. The first is described as a white male, about 40 to 50 years old, with a medium to large build and a full beard.

The second suspect is also a white male, approximately 16 to 22 years old, with a medium build and brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
