Magnolia tree marks piece of Atlanta baseball history

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

A piece of baseball history stands largely unnoticed in an Atlanta parking lot.

Before the Braves moved to Atlanta, a piece of land that's now a parking lot was Ponce de Leon Park and home to the Atlanta Crackers.

The field played host to some of the biggest baseball names of all time.

A magnolia tree in the Atlanta Beltline is the only standing part of a stadium that was home to baseball for more than 60 years.

FOX 5's Nicole Estaphan has the story.
