Tucson firefighters put out large lumber fire

Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A front-end loader caught fire on Tucson's south side, igniting a large lumber fire.

The Tucson Fire Department says eight units and 22 firefighters responded to the Tuesday night blaze on South Country Club Road.

According to the Fire Department, the burning pile of lumber produced a large column of smoke and flames.

Firefighters used a large stream of water plus foam to put out the fire, which took 24 minutes once units arrived.

Causes of the fire and a damage estimate haven't been determined.
