More and more couples are "going Dutch" on the engagement ring, and it's stirring up all kinds of debate.
According to a survey on "The Knot's" Facebook page, a lot of about-to-be-married couples are splitting the cost of the ring.
Some say that it's a sign of the times and makes more sense financially. However, others argue that it proves that chivalry is dead because it breaks the tradition of the man buying the ring.
But supporters of the trend argue that more women are becoming the breadwinner these days. And since more couples are living together before marriage, big financial decisions are made together.
