New Study Measures Bad Effects Of Texting

Posted: Updated:

Be wary of how many texts you're sending! It could impact how well you sleep. That's what a new study out of Washington Lee University claims. The study looks at freshmen on campus and their texting habits.

Researchers say that people who text a lot feel that they have to respond right away, all the time.

And, they most likely have their phone right next to their bed, waking up with every alert. Therefore, if you want more sleep, try turning off those alert notices at night.

Meantime, the study also found that frequent text messaging was also associated with greater psychological vulnerability to interpersonal stress.
