Online reports say lawmakers drinking during late-night sessions to prevent government shutdown

Reports of lawmakers drinking during late-night sessions ahead of a potential government shutdown have spread online.

The DailyMailOnline reports that Politico reporter Ginger Gibson tweeted: 'I'm not over exaggerating when I say I can smell the booze wafting from members as they walk off the floor.'

Another post by the DailyMailOnline displays Twitter posts by Kate Nocera, a BuzzFeed reporter on Capitol Hill. She posted a that she ran into lawmakers at a DC liquor store.
