Bill Gates confesses: 'Control-Alt-Delete' was a mistake

Posted: Updated:

The Control-Alt-Delete key combination we all use to access the login screen on our computer was a mistake.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is putting the blame on IBM.

Gates said we could have had a single button, however, the man who did the IBM keyboard design didn't want to give us our single button.

The odd combination was originally designed to reboot a PC.

But it became part of PC folk-lore as a login prompt in early versions of windows.
