Struggling with attendance, Houston Astros hold 'Ladies Night'

Posted: Updated:

No one is watching Houston Astros games.

In fact, the team is 27th out of 30 Major League Baseball teams in average home attendance.

So, in an effort to get fans to show up to games, the Astros are going with a bar tactic - "Ladies Night."

The team tweeted: ‘9/27 is ladies night by @statefarm! Ladies can learn about baseball, enjoy music, food, drinks & more!’

For $33, ladies can get a ticket to Friday’s game against the Yankees.

It includes baseball 101 talk, a "diamond, bling and glittery things" happy hour, complimentary beauty treatments, and a State Farm Insurance - branded "exclusive ladies night gift."
