Becca Tobin: I Had A Lot Of Great Material To Pull From

Posted: Updated:

Becca Tobin returns for this week's fifth season premiere of "Glee."  She plays cheerleader Kitty Wilde who's known around campus as a "mean girl."

Becca knows a thing or two about real-life mean girls.  Even though she was a cheerleader, she was still a target because she was different.  Where she went to school in the south, the focus for most people was on athletics, but she wanted to sing and dance.  So, at times, they isolated her.

"They were so mean; and they're getting meaner, so I think I got out in time,"  Becca explained to Steve Edwards and Araksya Karapetyan on Good Day L.A. "Also, I've always been feisty, so I think I held my own."

And nobody would argue that now, she's more than holding her own.

Fun Facts About Becca Tobin:

  • She is an American actress, singer and dancer. She currently portrays Kitty Wilde in the Fox television series Glee, and made her first appearance in the fourth season premiere episode, "The New Rachel".
  • Tobin's first performance was at age four as a Christmas tree in her school's holiday pageant. She moved to New York when she was eighteen to get working right away.
  • She has worked on Broadway as an understudy and replacement for the musical Rock of Ages. She toured with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in 2011.
  • She was chosen, along with fellow Glee cast members Jacob Artist, Melissa Benoist, and Dean Geyer, as an ambassador for Coca Cola's new product, P10 300 ml Coke Mismo. In June 2013, the four of them were flown to Manila, Philippines to endorse the product by visiting different malls and meeting with fans.

Born and raised in Liverpool, signed by an inexperienced agent named Brian Epstein, hustled into the studio with a genius producer named George Martin...and out of that session came a hit song called "Do You Want To Know A Secret." Now here's the twist…we're not talking about The Beatles.
