Watch: Bumbling bowling alley burglars caught on camera

HOLLY, Mich. (WJBK) -

Brian Aubuchon, the owner of Holly Lanes, says two thieves entered his bowling alley Monday morning by breaking in through the roof. Aubuchon tells Fox 2's Erika Erickson about the damage: "Probably close to $40,000."

Yet Aubuchon can't help but laugh as he watches the suspects destroy his livelihood.

The two young men spend an hour and a half smashing televisions, vending machines and a jukebox - all while wearing aprons. One suspect even decides to put his hand in a golf club cover, presumably to hide his fingerprints, yet he still proceeds to pick up and touch objects with his other bare hand.

The suspects even managed to crack open a safe, but left some of the money behind. Then the duo raided the liquor cabinet and smashed all the expensive bottles, and took off with the Popov.

When their raid was over, the video shows the two men walk out of the business covering their faces, still wearing those aprons and that golf club cover, yet a clear hand print was left when one suspect held the door open for the second. The pair also left a trail of vending-machine candy wrappers that led police to their getaway car.

The owner is confident that with the community's eagerness to help and believes these suspects will be caught in no time. He says, "I may even wear my apron to court."
