Local girl Jena Sims' latest role filming on familiar ground

ATLANTA -

A native of Winder, Ga., and former beauty queen, actress Jena Sims has built an impressive acting career that now finds her starring opposite four Academy Award winners in the upcoming film, Last Vegas.

Her esteemed fellow cast-mates happen to be Morgan Freeman, Robert DeNiro, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Kline. In the film, Jena plays Abby, the love interest of Jerry Ferrara's character Todd.

After receiving lessons on how to properly complement a girl from Archie (Morgan Freeman), Todd decides to test out what he learned, and asks Abby to dance. The two hit it off, and the rest is history. Last Vegas, follows four best friends, in their late sixties, who throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for the last one of them to be getting married.

While filming, Jena found she didn't have to travel very far to get to the set. Sims stopped by Good Day Atlanta to dish on her latest role and her road to success.

Jena is best known for her breakout role in the summer hit Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader. She was personally selected by producer Roger Corman to play the lead in his most recent production (and surprisingly, first 3D picture) which premiered at Comic Con last summer.

Last Vegas is scheduled to be released on Nov. 1, 2013.
