3 people injured during southeastern Ariz. shooting

ELFRIDA, Ariz. -

Three people were injured during an early morning shooting in southeastern Arizona.

Cochise County Sheriff's deputies say a 34-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were shot in the Elfrida area.

The woman was able to call deputies, tell them she was shot and drive to the substation for help.

All three shooting victims were airlifted to a Tucson hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies say they're in stable condition.

Central Highway between Davis Road and Hopkins Road is closed while authorities gather evidence.

An US Border Patrol helicopter searched for the suspects in the area, but have been unable able to find them.

Deputies say several people have been contacted and are being interviewed about the shooting.

According to deputies, the shooting is isolated and several people believed to be involved are known to law enforcement.
