WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

A 40-year-old Waterford Township woman is behind bars, charged with attacking a guest in her home with a kitchen knife.

Waterford police say Angel Susan Abernathy is accused of stabbing the 47-year old Waterford man in the chest during an argument in her home in the 6000 block of Adamson Drive. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. It's unclear what the pair had been fighting about.

Abernathy was arraigned Sunday on a charge of Felonious Assault and was given $10,000, 10 percent cash bond. She's being held inside the Oakland County Jail.
