ATLANTA -

Today, comedian, actor and now talk show host Steve Harvey kicks off the second season of "The Steve Harvey Show." Don't miss it on FOX 5 at its new time – 3 p.m. – followed by Judge Judy at 4 p.m.

Recently, Good Day Atlanta's Karen Graham got a chance to sit down one-on-one with the funny man himself to find out that the talk show's award-winning success in only its first year – while possibly a surprise to some – did not surprise Steve.

Steve touched on key highlights – on-stage and backstage – from his show's first season. He says it was his Mother's Day episode that truly led viewers to fall in love with Steve Harvey, the man.
