Wendy Williams to the rescue?

During an interview on FOX 2 Friday, the syndicated talk show host teared up as she hinted at a plan to solve the Motor City's financial woes.

"I'm so sorry to hear about what's going on with your city filing bankruptcy," said Williams. "You've always been dear to me.... And when I come back, I'm going to tell you on my first day exactly what the government needs to do to get you all back on your feet."

Viewers won't have to wait long to hear the plan. A new season of 'The Wendy Williams Show' debuts Monday on FOX 2 at noon.

"I've got a plan. I've got a plan, Detroit."

Detroit emergency manager Kevyn Orr took the city into bankruptcy on July 18. Long-term debt totals $18 billion or more in a city that has lost at least 25 percent of its population since 2000.
