FOX 5 says goodbye to Brian Bolter

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON -

It is a sad day here at FOX 5 as we said goodbye to our friend and colleague Brian Bolter.

He anchored his final shows on FOX 5 Thursday as he departs us to focus on his restaurant businesses in Annapolis.

Brian joined FOX 5 in November of 1999 and has co-anchored on the FOX 5 News at 10 for over a decade. On his final night here, fellow anchor Shawn Yancy went into the archives to recall their first show together on September 21, 2001.

On the FOX 5 News at 10 Thursday night, Brian said, "I just want to take a moment to thank all the viewers. I have been just overwhelmed by the support and a lot of you have reached out to me and said how much you appreciated what I did here for 14 years and that's been really touching to me. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. I really appreciate it."

From all of us here at FOX 5, we will miss you Brian.
