    DTE Energy Co. says it has worked with the City of Detroit to successfully restore all Public Lighting Department customers who lost power due to cable failures on the electric system.
    DTE Energy Co. says it has worked with the City of Detroit to successfully restore all Public Lighting Department (PLD) customers who lost power due to cable failures on the electric system that serves the City of Detroit and a number of their large customers.
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

DTE Energy Co. says it has worked with the City of Detroit to successfully restore all Public Lighting Department (PLD) customers who lost power due to cable failures on the electric system that serves the City of Detroit and a number of their large customers.

DTE Energy crews have worked overnight and throughout the day Thursday to help the city make repairs and bring service back up to the affected customers.

DTE Energy continues to work with the PLD on the remaining repairs and to address the electrical system's long-term issues.

The next update will be at approximately 8 a.m. Friday.

    DETROIT (AP) -- A former medical examiner sparred with a prosecutor Thursday over a wound on the hand of a woman who was fatally shot on a Detroit-area porch, telling jurors it seems to fit the defense's claim that Renisha McBride was pounding on the homeowner's doors before she was killed.Dr. Werner Spitz, a forensic pathologist, said photos of McBride's body show a "small superficial laceration" on her left hand.
