Demi Lovato talks X Factor, Glee and new music

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM - Singer and actress Demi Lovato was only 19 years old when she joined the judge's panel on the hit singing competition the X Factor. She's giving it another go and couldn't be more excited.

“It’s completely different this year for many different reasons. One, we are changing the middle rounds of the competition. Also, there’s three women on the panel now. We have Simon Cowell, me, Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland. We are all very sassy, strong women who don’t keep our mouths closed when we have something to say. It’s not just me giving Simon trouble; it’s all three of us. It makes it so much fun," said Lovato.

Now, 21, Lovato says she's not nervous as she was going into last season.

“I was really nervous. Walking into a panel of Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears was very intimidating. There hasn’t been a young judge on these shows,” said Lovato.

But being the young one on set is nothing new to the former Disney star who started her entertainment career at the age of 8 in a television show.

“I released an album called Demi back in May. I shot a music video for Made in the USA. I co-directed the video. Ever since then I’ve been working X Factor. I shot one episode on GLEE. I shot a six episode deal.,” said Lovato.

Season 3 of the X Factor on FOX airs Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m.

The future is here when it comes to vehicles. The auto industry has packed nearly 1,000 automobiles into the Jacob Javits Center on Manhattan's West Side for the 2014 NY Auto Show.   Among the 'must-sees' is a hydrogen-powered vehicle and a prototype with cameras that allow you to see the ground underneath as you drive over it.

“I was supposed to be dead before last Easter," said Valerie Harper about her diagnosis of cancer in the lining around her brain.  Harper's indomitable spirit and the support from fans of her character 'Rhoda' in the 1970s hit series 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' has kept her going. "It’s a tasty headline," said Harper about the magazine where the inaccurate report was made.
