4 injured in Manhattan nightclub shooting

Posted: Updated:

Police say four men were shot and injured during a dispute that erupted at a nightclub in lower Manhattan.

They say the shooting occurred at 12:15 a.m. Thursday at the Sounds of Brazil Club (SOB) on Varick St. in SoHo.

All the victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

The nature of the dispute was not immediately known but it was reported that it broke out after someone in the club "dissed" New York.

A "mixtape release party" was being held for rapper Fat Trel for “SDMG” (Sex, Drugs, Money, Guns). The event was being sponsored by The Source magazine.

Police were questioning the victims.

There were no immediate arrests.

Fat Trel also runs DC 1135 Records – home to Slutty Boyz, Boosa Da Shoota, Young Moe, Yung Gleesh, and Oochie.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
