CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Wal-Mart is launching a smartphone trade-in program that could make your old smartphone a lot more valuable.

Starting September 21, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores will start offering as much as $300 for certain smartphones. You can then use the credits to buy a new phone if you want.

Wal-Mart is the latest company to jump in the smartphone resale market. The move could force other companies in the field to boost their prices.
