Crews complete repairs to water main break on Clairmont Road

Posted: Updated:
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

Crews have completed repairs on a section of Clairmont Road where a 30-inch water main broke. The rupture happened just north of I-85 in DeKalb County last Wednesday.

The water main break affected about a block-and-a-half stretch of Clairmont Road, reaching from Interstate 85 to the Century Center Complex.

A boil water advisory was cancelled on Monday afternoon, according to officials.

While the water main break repairs have been completed, work remains to be done on the roadways.

One lane of Clairmont Road, in each direction, was open to drivers Monday morning. If you choose to avoid the area, here are some alternate routes from SKYFOX Traffic's Katie Beasley:

- Frontage Road to Briarwood Road
- Shallowford Road to Dresden Drive
- North Druid Hills to Buford Highway
- Frontage Road to Century Boulevard
