Your Cell Phone Can Help You Spot Liars

Spotting a liar can be tough, especially when they're being dishonest in writing.

But researchers from Brigham Young University say there are ways you can tell if someone is lying in a text. It's all about the timing.

A study found people who are lying in a digital message take longer to respond.

That means you should be suspicious of those pregnant pauses in the middle of a text conversation.

Researchers say liars also make more edits and send shorter messages.
