Boy's CPR knowledge saves his dad's life

Posted: Updated:
STAFFORD, Va. -

Ted Featherstone is only 12-years-old, but he's already done something a lot of adults couldn't handle. Last Sunday, Ted was asleep in his bedroom at his home in Stafford, Virginia. He heard screams and raced downstairs.

His mother was calling 9-1-1 because his father, Keith, was having a seizure. Keith was also in cardiac arrest.

Ted had attended Boy Scout camp in West Virginia this summer. He had one hour of CPR train. He managed to use what he knew to do compressions and bring his father back to life. Ted's dad is still in the hospital. Ted says he's proud of what he did, but doesn't want people to think of him as a hero.
