CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Workers at Walmart stores in Chicago and 14 other cities across the country plan walked off the job on Thursday, as part of a one-day strike to demand higher pay and better working conditions.

The workers want a minimum annual wage, of $25,000.

Walmart said the average worker already makes $12.83 an hour, which is well above the federal minimum wage.
