Johns Creek police nab burglary suspects after brief chase

Posted: Updated:
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -

Johns Creek police responding to a burglary in-progress call soon found themselves in pursuit of fleeing suspects just before noon Thursday.

Officers received a call about a burglary at an apartment complex located near Medlock Bridge and Medlock Crossing, according to Johns Creek Police Lt. John Byers.

Authorities say witnesses to the reported burglary tipped off police, giving them a description of the burglary suspects and the car they drove away in. When Johns Creek officers caught up with the car and tried to pull it over, the suspects refused to stop and police gave chase, Byers said.

Alpharetta police assisted Johns Creek along the way, with the chase ending at Georgia 400 and Old Milton Parkway, police said. Two men and one woman were taken into custody.

Johns Creek police say they will continue their investigation into the reported burglary. They did not release the names of the suspects or comment on what charges they may face.

No one was injured and nothing damaged during the apprehension of the three suspects, Lt. Byers said.
