A Japanese steakhouse employee was hospitalized and another was arrested after an argument between the two coworkers escalated Wednesday.
The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. at the Fuji Steakhouse on South Main Chapel Way in Gambrills.
Police say the two men were arguing over food when the victim allegedly struck the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Li Chen, with a frying pan.
Chen then allegedly swung a cooking knife and cut the victim in the head. The 30-year-old victim also sustained lacerations to his leg and arm.
The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Chen was arrested and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
Investigators say it is possible charges may be filed against the victim as well.
