NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

In a shocking crime, the New York State Police say a 15-year-old boy is accused of forcing a 7-year-old girl to perform a sex act on him and then trying to kill her by burning a house down with her somehow restrained inside.

Police say it happened in Fishkill in Dutchess County and the teen was tracked down in the Poughkeepsie area.

The boy's name has not been released yet because of his age.  The condition of the young victim was also not released.  Police say the two were acquaintances.

The 15-year-old was arraigned on felony charges in Fishkill and committed to a secured juvenile detention facility pending further court hearings.

The New York State Police were assisted in the case by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Dutchess County Attorney and Department of Social Services.

No other details were immediately available, including when the crime took place.
