The sun can be pretty damaging to our eyes. It's a well known fact that sunglasses are important to wear, but how do you pick out the best pair?A lot of times we pick shades based on fashion, not sun protection, but you can combine the two. First, it's important to check out the UV label and make sure that it says 99 to 100 percent, that way UVA and UVB rays aren't hurting your eyes. A popular look for fall that has good UV protection is mirrored sunglasses.Second, look for polarized lenses, but this doesn't mean more sun protection.Polarized actually makes horizontal surfaces more crisp and clear, particularly while driving or on a boat. The second big trend for fall sunglasses is clear rims. Lastly, the frames. Big frames are not only in fashion, but they are good for blocking UV rays that might creep in on the sides. Don't forget it's sunny year round in the valley, so if your keeping your eyes protected, you might as well do it in good style.
